DULUTH, Ga., Dec. 15, 2022 — By design, the newly signed Respect for Marriage Act is an attack on religious liberty in our nation. While the Left may claim this law promotes tolerance and love, it creates a path for just the opposite. President Biden stated that the Respect for Marriage Act is a “vital step toward equality, for liberty and justice — not just for some, but for everyone.” In reality, it threatens the First Amendment rights of millions of Americans as religious organizations and individuals will now come under further unnecessary scrutiny from those who hold opposing beliefs. The Respect for Marriage Act only reaffirms that the Left has no interest in liberty and justice for all.
