STATEMENT BY RALPH REED, CHAIRMAN OF FAITH & FREEDOM COALITION

DULUTH, Ga. – Ralph Reed, Chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, issued the following statement in response to the recent attacks on churches because of their pro-life views:

“An attack on any church is an attack on the entire faith community, and represents anti-Christian bigotry that is a cancer on the body politic. It may also be a federal crime depending on the level of vandalism or violence. The attempt to bully and stigmatize evangelical Christians and Roman Catholics for their deeply held moral beliefs is reminiscent of some of the ugliest chapters in the history of our country. I believe that Christians will not to be intimidated and will attend worship services this Mother’s Day in record numbers to celebrate motherhood, life, and faith. I call on Attorney General Garland and the Justice Department to take whatever steps are necessary to defend churches and ministries from all threats of harassment, vandalism and violence.”
