DULUTH, Ga. – Since he first took office, President Trump has made incredible foreign policy advancements. In 2020 alone, he announced a new Mideast Peace Plan to end decades of Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and he created a U.S.-Taliban agreement to reduce hostilities in Afghanistan after nearly 20 years of war. But most recently, Trump established the Abraham Accords Declaration between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel and Bahrain.
The Abraham Accords will see Israel exchange ambassadors, establish embassies, and co-operate on trade, security, and tourism with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The agreements also allow Muslims to visit Islamic holy sites in Israel. Trump said the deals would form “the foundation for a comprehensive peace across the entire region.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of both the UAE and Bahrain were present to sign the deals at the ceremony.
“This week’s peace agreement was an historic event,” said Timothy Head, executive director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. “No other president has made such advances in the Middle East as President Trump has. This administration understands the importance of maintaining and strengthening peace in the Middle East through fostering respect for human dignity and freedom, including religious freedom, in the region. We expect more peace agreements to be made in the coming months as President Trump advances foreign relations and works to bring religious freedom and peace around the world.”
